Escheresque
Well, I've always liked Escher, ever since I saw his work. It was not only the art that appealed to me, but also the precision in his work. It is no secret that he 'cheats', but no matter... that doesn't stop me from enjoying his work.
My favourite pieces are "Metamorphosis II", "Liberation" and "Snakes"
Here's a tesselation of my name. A tribute to Escher, and a tribute to me. It took awhile to finally get a solution I was happy with:

No, you can't 'cheat' with letters. Unlike Escher... who does tesselating shapes before figuring out what they are. Hehe.

What do you mean Eschar cheated? I thought his method is a more sensible way. This is not cheating!
Yep, It's not cheating per se, and it makes sense. But it's so easy anyone can do it. Whatever works, I guess :)
